I'd guess that the dll is dependent on some uprated aspect of FTP's
stack. I'm running a number of winsock apps with the 2.31 version
of the stack, and a slightly later version of the dll. Probably the
one you got, compilation date 7 January?. My winsock clients
still crash and burn sometimes; but not nearly so often.

Subject: External dialler for Trumpet winsock
I want to use Trumpet winsock to dial into my account. However, my school only allows connections with the setting 7,e,1. The instructions for Trumpet say that it can't do that yet but it does allow an external program to do the dialing. This is the part which I don't know how to do. If anybody can give instructionson how to do this, I would be GREATLY appreciative. Thanks!

Subject: W4WG Problems
Is there anything I need to know to make Winsock work with Windows for
workgroups. It can't seem to start NNP.

Subject: SLIP >SERVER< for Windows (WFWG of NT ok!)
Hi there!
We need to allow users of Winsock to access a windows based machine..
Is there a SLIP server for WFWG or WINNT that will let us do that?
I would like to know if Windows for Workgroup add any functionnality
someone just wants to work with winsock applications. Basically
I have a TCP/IP network (Unix workstations) with a few PCs on it
too. Currently the PCs are used for E-mail mainly (Eudora), a bit
of file transfer (FTP). The only thing I would be looking extra
is to do backups of the PCs on the workstations.

Subject: trumptel does not recognize ~!@#$%^&*()_+
Hi, the subject line is _not_ a mistake. :-) I just downloaded trumptel.zip and tried to run it. However, I found that when logging in and typing in passwords, it does not accept any of the characters ~!@#$%^&*()_+ Instead, it seems only to allow letters and numbers for passwords, providing quite a problem. Is there a way around this? I know it has nothing to do with my setup, because I did manage to trumptel to my library, which requires simply a number, and that worked fine. I'm running trumpet winsock 1.0A (or whatever the newest version is). I have a 486DX33, but that doesn't really matter.
Ryan.
